Ron Moore
Elder
I have been an Elder at Grace Church since 2019 and currently serve as the vice chairman of the Elder Board. My wife, Judy, and I have been married for 55 wonderful years, and we are blessed with two daughters, Amy and Julie, and eleven grandchildren—eight boys and three girls, with our oldest daughter giving us seven grandsons! We began attending Grace in the fall of 1986 after moving back to Lancaster from northern Pennsylvania and visiting several churches before finding our home here. Jesus means everything to me; my faith in Christ sustains and guides me every day. Serving as an Elder is a true honor, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support our pastors and walk alongside the people of our church, offering encouragement and direction wherever it’s needed. Before retiring four years ago, I spent 12 years as a carpenter, 23 years in the animal nutrition industry with Cargill, and later became a partner in a local feed mill serving 450 dairy farms. I also spent six years in the Army National Guard—because, as I like to say, “Uncle Sam loved me!” In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hunting (mostly archery), collecting firearms, and shooting trap and sporting clays.
